Dr R.V.Jayakumar is currently working as Senior Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Caritas Hospital. Dr R.V.Jayakumar worked in various Government Medical Colleges in Kerala State and also AIMS, Cochin and was Professor and HOD of Medicine and Endocrinology.

Dr Jayakumar is interested in Clinical Endocrinology and especially Thyroid diseases He has 72 publications in various Journals and has authored 5 chapters in various Text books. He was the Editor in Chief of Thyroid Research and Practice Journal and in the Editorial Board of Indian Journal of Endocrinology Dr R.V. Jayakumar is the Founder President of the Indian Thyroid Society and was previously the National President of Diabetic and Endocrine societies of India. He was elected to the Governing body of the Asia Oceanic Thyroid Society in 2012 and is continuing in the same post
