We specialize in cardiac emergency care and non-invasive cardiac services - especially ECHO cardiography, research, and preventive cardiac education. Eventually, the treatments and technology evolved into highly advanced, targeted, evidence-based cardiology care. Our Electrophysiology Program specializes in cardiac ablations and device implantations including pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTs.

The non-invasive cardiology department of Caritas Heart Institute comprises state-of-the-art facilities such as outpatient clinics, ECG, echocardiography, Holter monitors, treadmills and advanced medical equipment including heart rhythm clinic, heart failure clinic, lifestyle clinic, etc.
The ECHO team has crossed the milestone of performing over three lakh cardiac procedures successfully over the years. The team is backed by the most high-end medical equipment that empowers the team to make critical medical decisions right off the bat and provide the highest diagnostic quality treatment.
Our hybrid cath lab is the first of its kind in Kerala and among the few extremely advanced cath labs in the entire country. The lab has enabled our cardiac surgeons and paediatric cardiologists to conduct more than 40,000 interventional cardiology procedures including the angioplasty surgery and endovascular treatments. This hybrid cath lab is fitted with advanced Intracoronary Imaging facilities such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Intracoronary Ultrasound (IVUS). These abilities, combined with the expertise of our specialists, have catapulted Caritas Heart Institute as the most referred place to perform complex, high-risk interventional procedures (CHIP).
The interventional cardiology department of Caritas Heart Hospital is the first to perform the most complex surgeries within minimum costs in Kerala. Such surgeries include heart valve replacement without open heart surgery such as transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), transcatheter tricuspid valve implantation (TRIC Valve), and intravascular lithotripsy, among others.
In addition to performing surgeries, we conduct frequent training workshops on complex interventions. Recently, a live broadcast of a surgical procedure completed by our experts was highly appreciated at the 2022 Joint Interventional Conference in Milan, Italy.
Our CVTS division had set a quality and process benchmark by being the first in Kerala to improvise the process and conduct keyhole heart bypass surgery. To date, this division has an unbroken record of performing over 500 keyhole bypass surgeries and 200 keyhole valve repair/replacement surgeries.
We also provide regular academic programs on the keyhole heart surgery procedure that attract multiple academics and cardiac surgeons across the country every year.
