A Consultant Physiatrist with more than 14 years of experience as a rehabilitation physician. Dr Shiela is capable of managing paediatric and adult patients and helps them to go back to a successful and independent life after Trauma, Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury. At Caritas, she runs specialized clinics for Diabetic Foot Care, Neck and Back Rehabilitation, Antenatal and Postnatal Care and developmental clinic for children with developmental delays. Her special interests are Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation, Spasticity and Neuropathic Pain Management. She has given valuable contribution to the Department of PMR at Caritas hospital and it has now emerged as one of the best rehabilitation centers in the entire Central Travancore region.

Worked as Consultant Physiatrist in the PMR department at CMC, Vellore for many years She was involved in research as well as training of paramedical (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Prosthetic and Orthotic) students, undergraduate medical and postgraduate PMR residents at CMC Vellore Had attended many workshops and programs on Spasticity and Pain Management She has presented papers on spinal cord injury and brain injury at various PMR Conferences all over India She had organized many training programmes, workshops and CMEs for training and public awareness
