Caritas Hospital & Institute of Health Sciences actively participated in a meaningful awareness programme organized at Holy Family Knanaya Catholic Church, East Nattasseri, on 26 July 2026, focusing on the well-being and dignity of senior citizens. The session featured two insightful presentations that highlighted the importance of creating an inclusive community where grandparents are valued, respected, and cared for. Rev. Fr. Mathew Kannalayil, Director – Pastoral Care, Caritas Hospital, delivered an inspiring talk on “Honoring Our Grandparents: Building a Community of Love, Respect and Inclusion,” emphasizing the vital role of compassion, family values, and social responsibility in supporting the elderly.
The Programme also included an engaging session on “Mobility is Medicine” by Dr. Akhil Krishna G (PT), Senior Physiotherapist, Caritas Hospital, who shared practical guidance on the importance of regular physical activity and mobility in promoting healthy ageing, independence, and overall well-being. Through initiatives like these, Caritas Hospital continues its commitment to community outreach, health education, and empowering individuals with knowledge that promotes healthier and more fulfilling lives.
