The inauguration of a Free Breast Cancer Screening (Mammogram) Camp, jointly organized by the Kottayam Archdiocese Health Commission, Caritas Hospital, Kaduthuruthy Forane, Palliative Care Unit, and KCWA (Kerala Catholic Women's Association), was held on August 2 at Kaduthuruthy St. Mary's Forane Church.

The camp was formally inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Johnson Neelanirappel, Vicar of Kaduthuruthy St. Mary's Forane Church.

The screening and healthcare services were led by Dr. Jose Jom Thomas, Consultant, Department of Community Medicine, Caritas Hospital.

The camp was conducted through Caritas Hospital's "Hope on Wheels" Mobile Mammography Unit, with the objective of creating greater awareness about breast cancer among women and making mammogram screening more accessible for the early detection of the disease.
