As part of the 65th anniversary celebrations of Caritas Hospital, a Thanksgiving Holy Mass was offered at Caritas St. Thomas Knanaya Catholic Church. The occasion served as an opportunity to express gratitude for the hospital’s achievements over the past six and a half decades and for its compassionate service in the field of patient care.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by H.E. Mar Joseph Pandarasseril, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Kottayam and Chairman of the Caritas Hospital Trust. In his homily, he reminded all those serving in the hospital to emulate the Blessed Virgin Mary as portrayed in the Holy Scriptures. Just as Mother Mary hastened to serve Elizabeth with love and dedication, every hospital staff member is called to care for and serve patients with the same spirit of compassion. He also encouraged everyone to offer prayers of thanksgiving for the abundant blessings received over the past 65 years.
Concelebrants included Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath, Director and CEO of Caritas Hospital; Rev. Fr. Mathew Kannalayil, Director of Pastoral Care; Rev. Fr. Saiju Puthenparambil, Assistant Director (Media & Relations); and Rev. Fr. Jefrin Thandasseril, Joint Director of Kaippuzha Caritas HDP Hospital. Following the Holy Mass, a fellowship meal was served to all attendees. The parish priest and Joint Director of Caritas Hospital, Rev. Fr. Stephen Thevarparambil, coordinated and led the event.
