An Interventional Radiologist with more than 5 years of experience in performing various Minimally Invasive Percutaneous and Endovascular Procedures in the comprehensive management of various disorders throughout the body. Dr Somsharan has special interest in gastro and Hepato Pancreatico Biliary Interventions with focus on HPB malignancies (performing TACE and RFA procedures) and Liver Cirrhosis with Portal Hypertension (performing HVPG, BRTO and TIPS procedures) including Interventions related Liver Transplantation. He received his specialty training in the prestigious Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi.

Performed, the first successful TIPS procedure (Transjugular Intrahepatic Porto Systemic Shunt) to patients with liver cirrhosis for the first time in Kerala
Part of the team performing the first successful Live Donor Liver Transplant (LDLT) in Central Kerala region
Presently performing most of the Interventions in body apart from Hepato Biliary System, including Stroke Thrombectomy, Neuro Aneurysm Coiling and Varicose Vein Ablation
