The department of Ophthalmology provides both basic and specialized eye care services for patients. We have a team of trained and experienced consultants, capable of offering specialized treatment for a range of eye problems. The department also has state-of-the-art equipment and technical facilities to provide quality treatment. These include argon laser for treatment of diabetic eye diseases and computerized visual field analyzers for assessment of glaucoma. The consultants are also trained in optometry and they help in the prescription of glasses for both adults and children.
The department is equipped with a world class theatre facility and is specialized in painless, no-injection cataract surgery (phacoemulsification). The Department also specializes in adult and pediatric squint evaluation and surgery.The other specialized services provided by the Department include pediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma diseases and treatment and diabetic retinopathy treatment.
