It is fully equipped and staffed to provide a comprehensive care for cardiac patients. The Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) has 9 spacious individual cubicles with state of art, bedside central and monitoring having specially trained staff, 24 hours coverage of intensive coronary care unit by physicians. It is provided with bedside Echocardiogram, Ventilators and facilities for temporary and permanent pace making. It is complemented by six-bedded step down unit also. Non-invasive laboratory is equipped with latest colour Doppler Echocardiogram (WIPRO GE VIVID) which caters the needs of adult and neonatal problems in the neibouring districts along with computerized treadmill and Holter monitoring system. The department also has well equipped mobile coronary intensive ambulance for safe transportation of the critically ill cardiac patients. The department conducts special preventive cardiac checkup, rehabilitation and follow up programmes. Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Interventional procedures and Cardio Thoracic Unit are the future vision of the department. |
